The 2-year-old toddler who was run over by a car outside the City of Central passed away, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday morning.
Stetson Huval died after he was accidentally run over on Tuesday afternoon, at approximately 12:20 p.m., July 1, in the City of Central. Stetson’s parents, Blake Huval and Lauren Breaux Huval, are currently experiencing what is being described as a ”parent’s worst nightmare.”
“Waking up to the heartbreaking news of Stetson Huval’s passing yesterday has left us all in shock. Our hearts go out to his family during this incredibly difficult time. Please continue to pray for them,” a family friend wrote on a social platform.
A meal train plan has been created for the family.
Lauren has always been a nurturing presence for our children, both on and off her teams, and watching her embrace motherhood has been a truly special experience. Her devotion to the kids is evident; they are her entire world. The Huval and Breaux families have been integral parts of our community for many years, and many of our cheerleaders have known them their whole lives.

St. Alphonsus: Our parish and school community are grieving with the Huval family after the heartbreaking loss of their son, Stetson. In times like this, we need to be together in prayer and support. We will hold a simple prayer service and rosary on Thursday, July 3, at 7 PM in the church. Please join us as we lift up Stetson, his family, and all who are hurting.

After the crash, Stetson Huval was life-flighted to the Children’s Hospital, where he was first listed in very critical condition and subsequently died early Wednesday. According to the EBRSO, no one will be charged in the accident.
Stetson Huval funeral arrangements and memorial plans will be released in the future.
